International Metal Plast is located in Jablonec nad Nisou, in a region which has a long tradition of glass production, jewelry manufacture, engineering and manufacturing. The newly established IMP Company was based on the aforementioned manufacturing industry and it has continued in an almost 50-year tradition of truck chassis production since its inception.Its production volume, size and number of employees with more than 220 mean that IMP is a medium-sized, family run company. The company employed 70 employees as soon as it was established.
IMP’s advantages include its progressiveness, flexibility and openness towards new technology and production processes and its adaptability in relation to its customer´s requirements. The company has its own construction and development centers. Thanks to these capabilities, IMP can offer its customers the complete realization of products ranging from the preparation of any necessary 3D data to its development and rendering, the prototype and eventually mass production. IMP has built up a significant position in the demanding Western European markets thanks to the comprehensiveness of the services which it offers.
IMP has been part of a multi-national group ever since it was established: the GMI – Group Maillard Industrie. Information concerning the commercial and technological processes is frequently exchanged throughout the Group in order to ensure the most up-to-date working procedures in production and the development of transport and storage systems. A significant part of IMP’s production, i.e. in excess of 90% of the total production, is designated for export. As well as its close cooperation with the companies in the GMI Group, the company also exports its products to Western European markets in Germany, Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, France, Great Britain, Austria, Denmark and Italy, but also to distant markets such as Russia, Algeria, Canada or Brazil.
The quality level of IMP’s products, the company’s ability to meet its customer’s demands and its competitive prices have enabled IMP to build up an important position among the producers of transport and storage systems and to gain the trust of its customers. IMP has acquired an Advanced Welding Certificate and a Certificate of Conformity of the Factory Production Control in accordance with the DIN EN 1090-2 regulation.
